Returning home with a new friend!

Killaca took off in a fast run following them. She kept pace with ease her sword was on her back where she had it all of the time.

Belor was lost in thought momentarily, then spread his wings as well, catching them on air currents. Though he was long from perfecting this, there were definitely spots where he couldn't find the wind.

Aiedail? Why is it other creatures fear the air?

"because they dont know it as well as we do. some who are born on the ground fear the air because it is vast and unknown, like some fear the sea." she replied, making sure there was plenty of low wind for belor to catch, making the wieght on her lighter.

Fanning his wings, Belor tested them over and over again.

I rather like the sea, or water, it kept me safe. Memories of hatching, having been pulled from the lake flashed through everyone's minds. Finally his wings fanned.

Odo stayed there and didnt speak much. They did not include him in there conversation nor did he want to be included. He would only be involved once they arrived at the elves home and from there he would become there teacher. Unless a more promising group arrived.

she nodded and let go but kept close.

Catching air currents, Belor tested his control, drifting upwards lightly and keeping within the confines of Aiedail's body. He successfully flew on like tihs for several minutes, until he requested Aiedail carry him again, his wings were tiring out.

she caught him and instructed him how to fold his wings back. she then rose higher to get a better look, making sure not to break the mental link between killaca and belor.

Killaca kept pace with them and smiled when she felt her dragon fly. When she made it to a clearing She jumped as high as she could.

aiedail spotted killaca and pointed it out to belor. then she sent out a mental message to everybody. " we're almost there."

Belor nodded, catching a vague image of the location from Aiedail's mind. He then stretched his sore wings again, fighting against the burning to strengthen them.
