Odo's home

Odo's house is a large house made of trees that were bent using the ancient language but are still alive. They grow still making the house larger year after year. The inside of the house was great and large. This was filled up with trophies from battles and paintings and scrolls. Odo trained a famed dragon rider once so many scrolls about him were in his home. his sword as well rested on the mantle of Odo's home. The sword was a deep red color and looked bright against the green walls of Odo's home. His walls all had famous and wonderful paintings as well as on one wall a flower of gold and jewels hung still alive and picked from a field long ago by Odo while walking on a journey across alagaesea. There was a complete history of alagaesea and a huge map that covered a side wall. All across the ground were trapdoors that led to a study underneat his house with the roots of the tree. Odo's house is where people come to have an audiance with Odo or train under or with him.

Killaca walked to Odos house with him knowing her training would start soon.

"hello dragon rider im glad you have come to train." Odo said with a quick bow followed closely by the traditional elf greeting. "your dragon has already begun training with the wild dragon that flew us here so I will teach your personally. Our first lesson will be on the basics of magic. Do you have any objections?" Odo asked as he sat down on a nearby stool made from a lump in the tree.

killaca returned the greeting. she sat and said " i have no objections to magic!".

"all right then we shall begin but this will be easier if im in your head talking" Odo said as he reached his mind out to hers. this will allow you to share all thoughts and questions with me and not hide anything for whatever reason Odo mentally communicated to Killaca

Killaca felt his mind and out of habit her mind block shot up against him. Her eyes went blank from the consentration she used when holding a strong mind block.

Odo had vast expirience in the mind and it was his best ability so he went around the mental walls Killaca put up but only to her conciouss thought level. He could hear her thouhts but not see anything she wished to hide from him. some of this may be review I know but its still important to learn. Are you ready?

The walls around her mind dissapeared and she said softly in her ringing mentle voice Yes

all right as you probably know everything has a true name. most things now have already had there true names discovered so you wont need to search for the true name of rock and plant and tree and things like this. But you and I both have true names althout I doubt you know yours. These true names give you absolute power over that object person or thing. Odo explained mentally searching Killacas conciouss thoughts for the slightest hint of misunderstadning the information although he figured she already knew this.

She listened and gave the impression of already knowing this.

"as expected" Odo muttered under his breath aside from true names there are hundreds of branches of sorcery each completely different and yet almost identical to the one before it. We will explore some of these and eventually most but i doubt anyone has the patience required to spend the time required to learn them ALL with me a crazed 775 year old elf.

Get to the point please! She knew this stuff from the elves that had raised her so she was slightly bored

she noddedand waited.

seeing as you understand everything about the basics does that mean you would like to move into our next area? although we will have this lesson again once the other rider arrives you know. Odo's thoughts then became a mess of incomprehendable words and pictures and memories which he soon got undercontrol sorry

Killaca saw the information and hid the smiled from forming on her lips. Is this other rider an Elf? she asked out of curiosity

Odo sensed the joy from her mind and smiled himself. no i believe he is human and his dragon is very young from what I hear cant even talk yet Odo laughed but we cannot let this information distract us for we have work to do and training to undergo Odo said sitting down at his rock again and staring at Killaca

She had to quickly wipe away her frustration at a human rider hoping it wouldnt be seen by Odo. She picked up a rock looking over its smooth surface.

Odo laughed again you can conceal no emotion from your own conciouss thought which is where my mind is dwelling currently but now quickly onward to the next lesson

Ok what is the next lesson? She asked

She inclined her head ready to hear it.

I dont plan on getting into scorcery! she said rather dryly
